Our short film: Italiani di Poughkeepsie

Italiani di Poughkeepsie is a video project created by two Marist College students, Steven Jacobs and Lauren Schottenfeld. Diving into the once dense and rich world of Italian culture in the Poughkeepsie area, this video highlights some of the many historical landmarks that play a role in the conservation of Italian-American history throughout this ever-changing city. One of the focuses of this research was to show how Italian cuisine unites people worldwide, and how some of Poughkeepsie's landmarks that still stand today allow others to indulge in what makes the Italian culture so wonderful. Our goal was to provide viewers with a way to connect with their Italian roots or learn something new about the history of modern-day Poughkeepsie. We hope you enjoy the video, grazie mille!
